Injured worker rescued

Prince Frederick, MD –  During the late afternoon hours of Wednesday, Aug. 30 emergency crews from Calvert County were dispatched to a work site for the report of an injured construction worker. The incident occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. at a house under construction at Simmons Ridge Road and Kathleens Way. Crews conducted a high-angle rescue to bring the injured worker to safety. Reports from the scene indicated the injured worker was removed from the second floor of the structure via ladder bucket and transported to a landing zone. The injured worker was then flown to a regional trauma center. 

There are no reports at this time on the injured worker’s condition and a more detailed report on the incident is pending.
