The Maryland State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office is investigating a fire Wednesday morning in a vacant home in Waldorf that they say was intentionally set. The fire at the house at 3084 Huntington Circle in St. Charles was reported by a worker at 11:52 a.m.

The arson, according to Deputy Fire Marshal Don Brenneman, started in a bedroom and caused $1,500 damage to the structure and $2,000 to the contents. Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department responded and quickly extinguished it.

The house in owned by Christopher Sevajian.

According to the report of the fire, โ€œThe Charles County Sheriffโ€™s Office and the Office of the State Fire Marshal are continuing the investigation of this incident. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal Southern Regional Office at 443-550-6835.”
