LUSBY, Md. — Calvert County’s Parks and Recreation (CCPR) Department is hosting a Mario party for kids.

The party will be held at the Southern Community Center at 20 Appeal Lane, Lusby, on March 11 from 11-11:45 a.m. The event is for kids ages 2-6. Kids who attend will be able to play fun games and try out playing a Mario game on the Nintendo Switch.

Plus, this party comes with a fun extra — kids can dress up as their favorite Mario character. Fun for kids, and helpful for parents to get another use out of a Luigi or Princess Peach Halloween costume.

Spots for this party are limited to 16, so registration is required. Organizers suggest registering as soon as possible to make sure you get your chance to attend this fun and unique party.

CCPR also hosted the party last year and opted to bring it back in 2026. CCPR also hosted a superhero party last fall, so there’s a good chance this formula is a winning one for the group and the kids.

Calvert County also just released its spring activity guide, which is available only online. The guide features dozens of activities and events for people living in Calvert County, and is a must-have each season. Residents can also learn more about upcoming activities and events on the Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
