LA PLATA, Md. – On February 29, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., La Plata Police Department officers responded to the report of a fight in the 6700 block of Crain Highway.
Upon arrival, a group of individuals began to disperse and flee the area. One individual fled inside the business and discarded a loaded .44 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun and a quantity of “crack” cocaine.
The investigation is ongoing.
