Patuxent River, MD — One of the most important professional resources an employee can tap into is learning from the experiences of leaders in their workplace. To highlight career paths employees might not be familiar with, Naval Air Systems Command’s (NAVAIR) Logistics and Industrial Operations (AIR 6.0) hosted a speed mentoring event on Oct. 22 in Building 401 at Naval Air Station Patuxent River.
Event held Oct. 22 at Pax River.Twelve mentors shared their professional experiences and lessons learned — including the importance of getting out of your comfort zone — during the two-hour event. The 24 mentees rotated among the mentors for 10-minute sessions. Mentors included Rear Adm. Paul Sohl, Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) and AIR 6.0 assistant commander; Capt. Mike Zarkowski, COMFRC vice commander; and Todd Balazs, deputy assistant commander for AIR 6.0.
