LUSBY, Md. — A Lusby man has been charged in connection with a September shooting on Golden West Way after investigators determined he helped conceal evidence and assisted those accused in the crime.

Deputies from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 1100 block of Golden West Way around 11:59 a.m. on Sept. 16, 2025, for reports of gunfire. Two residents, Nicholas Griffith, 25, and Timothy White Jr., 28, both of Lusby, told deputies they were outside changing a tire when someone in a dark-colored sedan fired two rounds in their direction. Griffith returned fire once before the car sped off toward Cordova Drive.

Minutes later, deputies located an abandoned Ford Focus with Virginia registration that matched the suspect vehicle’s description. Home surveillance footage captured two individuals exiting the car and running away. Investigators identified the driver as Asia Ta’liyah Bell, 20, of Lusby, and the suspected shooter as Khiantae Rai-Vaughn Marquez Robinson, 19, also of Lusby. Bell was taken into custody shortly after the incident, while Robinson was arrested on October 21 and remains held without bond.

Court filings show that Kamarie Jahium Davis, 20, of Lusby, became a suspect during follow-up interviews and digital forensic analysis. Detectives recovered messages indicating Davis was in contact with the individuals involved after the shooting and helped conceal or dispose of a firearm linked to the case. Investigators also allege he attempted to help Robinson avoid police detection while knowing the seriousness of the charges being pursued.

Davis was arrested Nov. 10 and charged with six felony counts of accessory after the fact and one misdemeanor count of altering physical evidence.

Davis was initially held without bond at the Calvert County Detention Center before District Court Judge Robyn Riddle set his bail at $10,000 during a Nov. 12 hearing. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 10 in Calvert District Court.

The investigation remains ongoing.
