California, MD— On July 10, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Budd responded to the McDonald’s located at Alton Lane in California for the report of a vehicle that had been operating all over the roadway.
When Budd arrived on the scene contact was made with the complainants who stated they observed a white Chevrolet S10, “that was all over the road and was operating at 30 miles per hour coming across the Thomas Johnson Bridge,” according to charging documents.ย ย
Upon making contact with the operator, Joshua Christopher Timko, ย 24, of Newburg, deputies noticed a hypodermic needle filled with suspected heroin in plain view. Timko informed Budd the amount of heroin in question was less than half a gram.
An additional bag of suspected heroin was located in Timkoโs left boot and suspected Suboxone strips were located in his wallet.
Timko was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center, where he was charged with two counts of CDS possession- not marijuana.
At this time Timko does not have a scheduled court date. Timko faces a maximum jail sentence of eight years and a maximum fine of $50,000.
