Really??? Unbelievable
Guy gets threatened by a random domestic abuser, and exercises self defense, then gets charged with murder?
Either the Charles County States Attorney, and they Sheriff’s office/officers are in violation of their oaths, or there’s a part of the story we aren’t being told.
In Maryland you have to RETREAT if possible before using deadly force. It was just a matter of time they arrested him
Just so you know, he was found not guilty.
Totally unbelievable this person would be charged for defending himself.
His problem is that he had a carry permit, a firearm WITH a serial number and no drugs on him. Otherwise THEY would look the other way as usual.
Maryland needs to send all CC folks clear what you can and can’t do with scenarios. The only clear is what criminals can get away with. If you think the laws are clear then you are mistaken.
How about a complete story Baynet! This is so important for everyone with a CC permit. Why was he charged with murder?
Exactly!
Exactly!
On the face of it looks like Levanto got a raw deal, but what I see is the main problem of carrying a pistol/weapon: you are going to use it.
