Baltimore, MD – Statewide news sources reported a Maryland man is on life support after sustaining a serious head injury at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Authorities identified the victim as Joseph Bauer, 55, who reportedly got into a fight with two men from New York during yesterday’s Ravens game.

The Baltimore Sun has quoted Bauer’s sister, who said the family was told by doctors her brother has a 30 percent chance of survival.

The men accused of assaulting Bauer are identified as Scott Smith, 28 of Mt. Vernon; and Andrew Nappi, 31 of Eastchester. According to court records, both Smith and Nappi were charged with first-degree assault and second-degree assault.

Both men have been released and are tentatively scheduled to have preliminary hearings on the charges Oct. 27 in District Court for Baltimore City.
