LEONARDTOWN, Md. –St. Mary’s County Government’s Department of Public Works and Transportation will begin roadway improvements on Mattapany Road on or about Monday, Sept. 29, 2025.
The project will start at MD Route 5 (Point Lookout Road) and extend just past St. Mary’s College. It will include road widening and asphalt paving. Work is expected to take about 30 days, weather permitting.
