Stabbing at Meade High School: Student Hospitalized, School On Lockdown

FORT MEADE, Md. – On January 23, 2025, at approximately 10:10 a.m., an Anne Arundel County Police School Resource Officer (SRO) at Meade High School (1100 Clark Road, Fort Meade, MD) responded for a stabbing that occurred in a second-story bathroom.

The SRO located the 17-year-old victim, who is a student at the school, suffering from multiple stab wounds. The School Resource Officer called for medical assistance and began rendering aid. The school administration was notified, and a school lockdown was initiated. The student was transported with life-threatening injuries to an area hospital for treatment.

In coordination with investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division and Real Time Information Center, detectives assigned to the Western District responded and assumed responsibility for the investigation. Multiple witness interviews were conducted, evidence was collected, and two suspects were identified. Through investigative means, detectives determined the suspects were at a location on the campus of Fort George G. Meade and worked with the Department of Army Criminal Investigation Division and the Anne Arundel County Police Department Fugitive Apprehension Team to apprehend the suspects. Both suspects were located at their residence on base on the evening of January 24, 2025.

JaQuan Ky’lee Guy, 18, of Fort Meade, is charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, Attempted Second Degree Murder, Assault First Degree, Assault Second Degree, and school-related charges. Guy is a Meade High School student.  

A 14-year-old male, of Fort Meade, is charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, Attempted Second Degree Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder in the First Degree, First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, and school-related charges. He is a Meade High School student.
