MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — Emergency crews responded to a serious motor vehicle collision Friday afternoon involving a concrete truck on Three Notch Road at Cedar Grove Street in Mechanicsville. The crash, which was reported to have occured at 4:00 PM on July 18, 2025, resulted in one driver being trapped and unconscious inside the vehicle.
According to officials, first responders from multiple stations were dispatched to the scene. Units confirmed entrapment and began rescue operations while preparing a landing zone for a medevac helicopter.
The patient, described as a man in his 40s, was extricated from the wreckage at approximately 20 mins into life saving efforts, and subsequently airlifted to Capital Regional Trauma Center for advanced medical care.
Details regarding the cause of the collision and the condition of the driver remain limited at this time.
