North Beach House Fire Deemed Electrical

NORTH BEACH, Md. – Fire and emergency personnel responded to a house fire in the 4000 block of 4th Street at 2:44 p.m. on May 2, 2024.

Upon arrival, crews discovered an outside fire on the rear deck that had extended into the house. Firefighters from Engine 11 initiated an attack from the rear of the structure and advanced a line into the house to contain any further extension of the fire. Additional crews assisted on the scene, providing ladders, ventilation, and overhaul.

There were no reported injuries during the incident. Following an investigation, the cause of the fire was determined to be electrical. After approximately one hour, the crews cleared the scene.
