CLEMENTS, Md. — We are receiving reports of a serious motor vehicle crash this evening that has sent one person to the hospital.
At approximately 9:54 p.m. on December 29, first responders were called to the scene in the 23000 block of Colton Point Road for reports that a single vehicle had crashed and left one person trapped and unconscious.
Upon arrival, crews discovered that the one patient was not trapped in the vehicle, but had sustained some non-life-threatening injuries.
A helicopter was requested from the Maryland State Police Aviation Division, however that request was halted soon after due to bad weather conditions.
The single patient was transported to a nearby hospital by ground soon after.
The cause of the accident is still unclear.
