Pedestrian Being Flown Out After Being Struck By A Truck

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — We are receiving reports of a motor vehicle crash this evening that is sending one person to the hospital.

At approximately 7:25 p.m. on October 17, first responders were called to the scene in the area of Midway Drive, near Wasp Drive and Bunker Hill Drive. Upon arrival, crews discovered a pedestrian who had been struck by a truck at the scene, sustaining serious injuries.

First responders determined soon after that the pedestrian was in need of immediate medical attention, and decided a fly-out was necessary.

A helicopter from Maryland State Police aviation was dispatched to land in the area of Nicolette Park ball field. They have been described as being in critical condition.

Continue to use caution in the area, and avoid the scene if possible.
