PRINCE FREDERICK, Maryland — A 51-year-old man died after he was hit by a Mercedes on Christmas Eve.
The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened just before 6 pm in front of the Walmart on Solomons Island Road in Prince Frederick.
Law enforcement and EMS personnel responded to the scene. EMS personnel transported the victim from the scene in critical condition. The CCSO said the driver showed no signs of impairment.
The accident victim, Kenneth Lorne Elliott died from his injuries. CCSO said bad weather combined with Elliot’s dark clothing contributed to the accident.
