Charlotte Hall, MD – An unidentified person was struck and injured Sunday evening, Sept. 13 in Charles County, authorities reported. The incident happened around 9 p.m. at the Budds Creek Road – Stines Store Road intersection.
According to the Newburg Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department, the injured pedestrian was flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to a Washington, DC-area trauma center. The individual’s injuries reportedly are nonlife-threatening.
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
