Lexington Park, MD – On Jan. 8 an electrical malfunction in a radio started a fire in Valarie Collins home, according to Chief Fire Marshal Duane K. Svites.
The fire was started in the living room of the home and caused minimal damage. The Bay District, Patuxent River and Hollywood Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the fire.
Collins was unharmed in the fire and is being assisted by family members.
