HUGHESVILLE, Md., — Emergency responders were dispatched Friday evening following reports of a motorcycle crash with injuries on Leonardtown Road near Old Leonardtown Road in Hughesville.
On April 25, 2025 at approximately 5:26 p.m., first responders arrived on scene to find a 43-year-old male motorcyclist who had sustained injuries after an apparent collision. Reports say, the rider was reportedly coherent but required immediate medical evaluation. Witnesses on scene indicated the motorcyclist could have been struck by a car, though official details regarding the cause of the crash remain under investigation.
Personnel from Hughesville Volunteer Fire and EMS units, along with Charles County Department of Emergency Services, responded to the call. After assessment, the patient was transported by ambulance to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for further treatment. His condition at the time of transport was reported as non-life-threatening.
