Solomons, MD –ย โ€œThis is a beautiful place,โ€ declared Ann Wilson, three songs into Heartโ€™s Saturday evening, May 23 performance at the PNC Waterside Pavilion at Calvert Marine Museum (CMM).

The normally peaceful island got a blast of the Rock โ€˜Nโ€™ Roll Hall of Famersโ€™ impressive list of hits spanning five decades. Vocalist Ann Wilson and her sister, guitarist-vocalist Nancy Wilson featured their signature songsโ€”Barracuda, Magic Man, Crazy on You, These Dreams plus an acoustical rendition of their 1987 smash โ€œAlone.โ€

According to CMM officials, over 6,000 people were expected to attend the show, which kicked off the museumโ€™s 30th year of Waterside concerts.

The evening opened with a lively, well-received performance by The Paul Reed Smith Band, fronted by the guitarist/guitar-maker, and graduate of Bowie High School and St. Maryโ€™s College of Maryland.

On July 3, the PNC Waterside Pavilion at CMM will be the venue for a concert featuring Barenaked Ladies, the Violent Femmes and Colin Hay. Tickets are now on sale for that event through CMM.

If you attended the show, perhaps you got โ€œcaught in The Net.โ€ Check out the images captured by The Bay Netโ€™s photojournalist Ron Bailey and find out.
