
CHAPTICO, Md. — A 37-year-old man was airlifted Saturday morning after falling from a roof at a residence in Chaptico.
Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 10:33 a.m. on Feb. 14, 2026, to the 23100 block of Jeans Way for a reported fall victim.
According to emergency responders, the man was working as a roofer when he fell from the roof of the home. He was conscious and reported back and ankle pain.
Firefighters established a landing zone at Dynard Elementary School for Maryland State Police Trooper 7, which was requested due to the severity of the injuries.
The patient was flown to UM Capital Region Medical Center, a designated trauma center, for further evaluation and treatment.
