SOLOMONS, Md. — The town of Solomons has announced the date and schedule for its 44th annual Christmas Walk, which will take place on Saturday, Dec. 13, starting at 4 p.m.
The schedule is as follows:
- 4–9 p.m.: Free professional Santa photos (unedited) at the Solomons Mission Center
- 6–9 p.m.: Enjoy the Solomons Christmas Walk Lighted Boat Parade that starts in the harbor and wraps around the entire boardwalk
- 6:30–7 p.m.: Solomons Christmas Walk Street Parade
This year’s Christmas ornaments were made by all Dowell Elementary third graders, organized by Mrs. O’Brien, and fifth grade teachers Mrs. Hawkes and Dr. Shoppert’s classes.
Organizers recommend keeping an eye on the Christmas Walk Facebook page and the official event page for the most up-to-date information on the walk.
The Christmas Walk is part of the town of Solomons’ annual Christmas celebrations and traditions. The town also holds a Christmas decorating competition — instructions for how to enter are available online. This year, organizers chose to forgo a typical theme and “let creativity shine.”
As we get closer to the holiday season, more information and events will be made available. Last year’s Christmas Walk included performances, food and beverage tastings, vendors, a live nativity and much more.
