
LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Fire crews responded to a vehicle fire Thursday afternoon that was initially reported as threatening a home in Leonardtown.
On February 26, 2026, at approximately 12:59 p.m., emergency units were dispatched to the 40800 block of Parsons Mill Road for a reported vehicle fire to the rear of a residence. The caller advised that the vehicle was next to the home and posed a potential threat to the structure.
Firefighters arrived on scene and reported the vehicle was approximately 20 feet from the residence and well involved in fire.
Crews quickly extinguished the blaze. The fire involved a full-size SUV and a side-by-side utility vehicle. Firefighters remained on scene to extinguish hot spots and complete overhaul operations.
Minor damage was reported to the exterior of the home. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
