On February 13 at 5:17 p.m., officers responded to Mall Circle for the report of a suspicious car. Upon arrival, officers observed the vehicle, a Jeep, leaving the parking lot. They also discovered the suspects had just broken into another car and stole property.
Officers initiated a traffic stop but the driver refused to pull over. Officers pursued the suspects at which time the suspects struck one of police cruisers causing the Jeep to become disabled. Both suspects jumped from the vehicle and attempted to flee.
One suspect, Mikal Hudnall, 21, of Washington, D.C., was arrested on the scene. The other suspect, Ronald Nicholson, 20, also of Washington, D.C., was arrested after a brief foot chase.
Stolen property was recovered inside the vehicle and a computer check revealed the Jeep had been reported stolen from Prince George’s County.
Hudnall was charged with assault and theft and Nicholson was charged with theft.
