Solomons Maritime Festival on May 3, 2025 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), located at Calvert Marine Museum, 14200 Solomons Island Road South, Solomons, MD – Celebrate Southern Maryland traditions with cooking demos, live music, toy boat building, Chesapeake Bay Retriever demos, antique boats, dockside tours of the Dee of St. Mary’s, and 30-minute cruises on the Wm. Career and Technology Annual Car Show on May 3, 2025 (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.), located at Career & Technology Academy, 330 Dorsey Road, Prince Frederick, MD – Support CTA students and SkillsUSA with food trucks, entertainment, a 50/50 raffle, and prizes. Science for Community Seminar – UMCES CBL on May 6 (7 to 8 p.m.), located at UMCES Chesapeake Biological Laboratory, 142 Williams Street, Solomons, MD – Join us as we celebrate a remarkable milestone, the 100th anniversary of CBL, the oldest state supported marine lab on the East Coast and the founding laboratory of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES).
