CHAPTICO, Md. — Emergency crews responded to a vehicle fire Friday afternoon outside the Chaptico Market in the 25400 block of Maddox Road, where one person was injured.
The incident occurred shortly after 1:20 p.m. on July 11, 2025. Firefighters arrived to find a truck on fire with one person suffering from burns.
Crews were able to quickly knock down the fire. EMS treated a burn patient at the scene before transporting them by ground to Washington Hospital Center for further care.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
