Recognized as a trusted steward of funds, United Way of Calvert County provides an opportunity for 501(c) 3 organizations addressing an identified community or health and human service need in Calvert County to receive designations through the United Way campaign.ย Participation in the United Way campaign increases an agencyโ€™s visibility and connection with donors.

United Way of Calvert Countyโ€™s designation application process scores each agency according to their proficiency in providing services that meet a community need, governance and fiscal accountability. Designation applications are available on an annual basis to ensure agencies adhere to nonprofit standards. To provide additional assistance for the application process, United Way is offering a Financial Training and Application Technical Assistance on Wednesday, April 30, from 9 am to Noon at the College of Southern Maryland, Prince Frederick Campus, Room PFB 105. Applications are available on www.unitedwaycalvert.org. The application deadline is Friday, May 9, 2014 no later than 4 pm. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted. Applications are reviewed by UWCCโ€™s Community Impact and Finance Committees, with final approval determined by its Board of Directors. Agencies will be notified of their status after June 4, 2014.
