CALIFORNIA, Md. — We are receiving reports of a serious motor vehicle crash this evening that involved one recently purchased vehicle overturning.

At approximately 8:38 p.m. on October 29, first responders were called to the scene in the 22000 block of Three Notch Road for a crash with a possible entrapment. Upon arrival, crews found a vehicle which had overturned on the sidewalk of the road, in the area of the Lexington Park Ford dealership.
There was no entrapment upon arrival, and there was only one person in the vehicle when it flipped.ย

Sources on the scene described hearing the driver say that he saw something small, which he suggested may have been a coyote, that ran out in front of him which led to the crash. The operator also described how he had purchased the vehicle recently.ย
The driver has decided not to be transported to a nearby hospital for any further medical treatment at this time. Some other vehicles at the dealership appear to have been damaged as a result of the crash.

Continue to use caution and avoid the area if possible.
This is a developing story. We will continue to provide additional details as they come available.
