WALDORF, Md. – While volunteers were staffing Station 12, they were alerted for an automatic fire alarm in the first due. #Engine121 went en route staffed, leaving an additional crew back. Communications advised they received a call for a storage room on fire in the building on the 3rd floor and upgraded the call. Engine 121 and Truck 12 arrived on scene simultaneously.

Engine 121 went on the scene with a three-story apartement building with nothin evident. The crew stretched a 1 3/4 attach line to the 3rd floor, where they were met with smoke conditions. Truck 12’s driver and crew deployed the aerial ladder to the roof. Engine 121’s crew located the fire room, and the officer radioed to the driver to charge the line. A small fire was found in the storage closet, and the fire was out within minutes of arriving. Chief 3 arried on the scene and established command.

Company 12 units operated on the scene for an hour. The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office was contacted and responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.
