Warren Ray Gardner, 40, of Piney Point, MD, passed away on February 26, 2026, in Boston, MA. Born on May 30, 1985, in Leonardtown, MD, he was the son of Donna Lang Gardner and Joseph C. Gardner of Piney Point, MD. In addition to his parents, Warren is survived by his brother, Eric J. Gardner, and his sister-in-law, Emily Gardner.
Warren was a lifelong St. Mary’s County, MD resident and graduated from Great Mills High School. He attended the College of Southern Maryland and was a Coastguardsman for the U.S. Coast Guard for 17 years.
In his spare time, Warren enjoyed carpentry, reading sci-fi, model building, hiking, technology, drawing, and painting.
Warren will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 AM with Joyce Blackwell leading the Funeral Service as a special friend to the family. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
The family invites friends to the 2nd District Volunteer Fire House, Valley Lee, MD, for light refreshments following all services.
