Helping Local Students Succeed
While school may be out for summer, WGTS 91.9 is already looking ahead to help kids get ready for the new year. Through a partnership with The Salvation Army, the station is collecting backpacks and school supplies to benefit underprivileged students throughout the Washington, D.C., region.
Collection boxes will be available at all WGTS Ice Cream Tour stops and summer concerts.
Organizers invite all attendees to bring a donation and help provide a child with the tools they need to succeed. “Let’s show our friends around the DMV the good that can happen when people of faith come together,” WGTS stated in its campaign message.
