On Nov.23 at 04:02 a.m., a fire was reported at Ingersoll Place, Waldorf, Maryland state authorities reported.
The fire destroyed part of a two story family house resulting in $400,000 in structure damage and $50,000 in contents damage.
It took forty minutes to control this house fire, and fifty firefighters from four different volunteer fire departments. Which includes Hughesville, Waldorf, Prince Frederick and Benedict Volunteer Fire Department.
According to state authorities “The owner of the house woke up to the smell of smoke and discovered a fire along the front porch outside te home. She was able to gather her pets and escape without injury before calling 911 from a neighbor’s house.
According to the state authorities the preliminary cause of the fire ” was as a result of a pot situated on the front porch where discarded cigarette butts were left.”

Waldorf, MD— At approximately 5:50 a.m., a working house fire was reported at the block of Ingersoll Place in Hughesville, MD.
Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department, [PFVFD] has responded to this working fire.
