The artwork of students who attend Calvert County Public Schools will be showcased at two events during the month of March. These events recognize Youth Art Month and feature the work of students from all schools in the district.
This year’s Recycle Youth Art Month Exhibit will be held at Springhill Suites in Prince Frederick from March 1-31. The opening reception will be on Sunday, March 1 from 2:00-3:30 PM. Come to enjoy refreshments, meet the aspiring artists, and see outstanding student artwork.
This year’s Portrait of the Chesapeake Youth Art Month Exhibit will be held at the Calvert Marine Museum from March 1-31. The opening reception will be on Friday, March 6 from 5:00-6:30 PM. Come to enjoy refreshments, meet the aspiring artists, see student art work, and listen to live jazz. Families may also take advantage of the Calvert Marine Museum’s Free First Friday of the month, which includes free entry to the museum. Student artwork is based on the theme: “Portraits of the Chesapeake Bay.”
