LEONARDTOWN, Md. — The St. Mary’s County Arts Council will host a new community-focused fundraiser, Uncorked & Unveiled, at the Port of Leonardtown Winery Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 7 to 9 p.m. The event will celebrate local artistic talent and regional collaboration, with proceeds supporting arts programming, public art projects and scholarships throughout the county.
A highlight of the evening will be unveiling the council’s first-ever Wine Label Design Contest winner. The contest, in partnership with the Port of Leonardtown Winery, commemorates the release of Bubbly Noir, a new sparkling red wine. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the winning artist, Bernard T. Matus, whose artwork will be featured on the wine’s label.
Uncorked & Unveiled also coincides with the 15th anniversary of the winery’s tasting room. Attendees can enjoy live music from GrooveSpan Duo, view the finalist label designs and sample a range of wine and nonalcoholic beverages. The event is open to all ages.

Tickets are limited. General admission is $65, with VIP tickets at $100. A reserved VIP table for four is available for $400. Event sponsorship opportunities are also listed online. Proceeds will benefit the Arts Council’s mission to promote creative opportunities across St. Mary’s County.
Tax-deductible donations are welcome for those unable to attend and help fund the council’s year-round arts outreach and educational initiatives.
