SEVERN, Md. – Anne Arundel County Police are investigating an early-morning shooting that left a 24-year-old man injured in Severn.
Officers responded to the area of Averill Court and Stillmeadows Drive around 3:30 a.m. on January 18, 2025, following reports of gunfire. Shortly after, the male victim was found in a vehicle near Telegraph Road and Reece Road, having been picked up by a passerby.
Fire Department personnel transported the victim to an area trauma center, where he was treated for what authorities described as a non-life-threatening injury.
At the scene, investigators discovered a backpack containing evidence of suspected drug distribution, which was collected for further examination. Despite an extensive search of the area, no suspects have been identified.
