
SOLOMONS, Md. — The Beanery and Juice Buzz celebrated opening their doors to the public with a joint ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 3. The two woman-owned businesses share a building in Patuxent Plaza and have a history of supporting each other on social media throughout their opening processes.
The Beanery is a coffee shop whose first location is in California, Md. The shop first announced their new location over the summer. The café is located at 13924 H.G. Trueman Road, Solomons, and is open 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The café serves coffee and specialty drinks as well as baked goods and food, and is known for their trendy, artful social media posts showcasing the café and its products.
Juice Buzz, also located at 13924 H.G. Trueman Road, Solomons, has food, smoothies and, of course, juice. Their motto is “sip fresh, eat clean, live vibrant,” and customers love their healthy and delicious menu. The shop is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Calvert County Commissioner Todd Ireland conducted the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The county later wrote on their Facebook, “We’re excited to welcome The Beanery and Juice Buzz to their new home in Solomons and celebrate their continued contributions to Calvert County’s small business community!”
The Beanery wrote on its own Facebook that they “couldn’t wait to caffeinate Solomons,” while Juice Buzz shared their excitement about having coffee and healthy eating options all under one roof.
