WALDORF, Md. — The walls of St. Charles Towne Center are now alive with color, creativity and community talent thanks to a new student art exhibit presented by the Neighborhood Creative Arts Center (NCAC). The display, unveiled this week, features work by dozens of young artists from across Southern Maryland — each piece a reflection of imagination nurtured through local arts education.
The NCAC, based in downtown La Plata, said it was thrilled to see the installation come together after weeks of preparation. “Our student art exhibit at the St. Charles Towne Center is finished at last! We’re so excited to share the art of so many children from the Southern Maryland area, and we hope you get a chance to come by to see it,” the center shared in a social media post.
Photos from the setup show instructors carefully arranging colorful collages, paintings and mixed-media works behind glass panels. The exhibition captures a range of creative expressions from early learners to teens — all participants in NCAC’s year-round art and enrichment programs. The Phoenix International School of the Arts joined in the celebration online, commenting, “So beautiful! This brings us joy!”
