MECHANCISVILLE, Md. – On February 26, 2024, at approximately 7:13 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle accident with one person possibly ejected on Mechanicsville Road near Beverly Drive.
Upon arrival, crews found a single vehicle off the roadway with the driver injured, but no ejection. EMS requested a MEDEVAC for the patient due to injuries.
Firefighters secured the landing zone on Cox Road for Maryland State Police, Trooper 2. The patient was airlifted to UM Capital Region Trauma Center for treatment.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
