WHITE PLAINS, Md. — What started as quiet, often private struggles turned into open conversations and shared understanding during the Crowns & Confidence Retreat on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
Hosted by Your Nu Image LLC, the one-day wellness experience brought women together not just to focus on self-care, but to reconnect with something many say they’ve lost over time — their confidence.
Based in White Plains, owner LaKeysha Moore has built her business around helping women navigate hair loss, health changes and the emotional toll that often comes with it — work that directly inspired the retreat.
“This event came from the work I do every day with women who are dealing with changes in their bodies and confidence,” Moore said. “A lot of these conversations happen privately, but I wanted to bring them into a space where women could talk openly, learn from one another and feel supported.”

Moore opened her physical location in 2022, building on a background in health care and years of advocacy for women’s well-being. Her work today focuses largely on women experiencing hair loss due to menopause, chronic illness and other life transitions — often paired with a deeper loss of confidence.
“I’ve always been an advocate for women’s health — helping women feel good and look good,” Moore said. “But what I found is that confidence is a big part of that, especially as we mature and our bodies begin to change.”
That connection between appearance, identity and self-worth became the foundation for the retreat.
Designed around the theme of “restoring crowns,” the event used tiaras and crown imagery as a symbol of reclaiming confidence — reinforcing the message that confidence is not optional, but an essential part of care.
Throughout the day, attendees moved through expert-led panels and breakout sessions focused on mind, body and spirit. The morning panel, “Redefining Wellness & Midlife Care,” addressed how women can maintain confidence through physical and emotional changes, while the afternoon session, “Choosing Me Without The Guilt,” focused on rediscovering identity after years of putting others first.
For many, the most impactful moments happened between sessions — in conversations with other women facing similar experiences.
“A lot of what we do goes beyond the surface,” Moore said. “We’re talking about confidence, identity and navigating changes that many women don’t feel prepared for, and creating space for women to learn from each other through those experiences.”
Moore said the retreat was also created to address a long-standing gap in communication around women’s health topics.

“Many of us watched our grandmothers or aunts go through ‘the change,’ but no one talked about it,” she said. “I wanted to create a space where those conversations could finally happen openly so women can learn what to expect and how to move forward.”
In addition to the sessions, attendees connected with vendors, explored wellness resources and shared in a curated lunch, reinforcing the retreat’s focus on caring for the whole woman — physically, mentally and emotionally.
Moore’s journey into entrepreneurship began during a period of transition. After losing her job in 2021, she leaned into a business plan she had already begun developing, turning a moment of uncertainty into a new path forward.
“I was already working toward this when I lost my job,” she said. “It just confirmed that this was the path I was supposed to take — one door closed, and another opened.”

Now, through both her business and events like the Crowns & Confidence Retreat, Moore continues to build spaces where women can feel seen, supported and empowered.
For those who attended, the message carried throughout the day was simple but powerful: confidence isn’t something you wait to find again — it’s something you reclaim.
