ST. MARY’S COUNTY, Md. — The Potomac Jazz & Seafood Festival returns this weekend, July 10–13, marking its 25th anniversary with four days of live music, fresh local seafood, and scenic waterfront experiences in St. Mary’s County.

As one of the Mid-Atlantic’s top jazz events, the award-winning festival is expected to draw hundreds of attendees for its silver anniversary celebration. Organizers are encouraging the public to purchase tickets now, as several events are nearing capacity.

Festivities begin Thursday, July 10, with “A Jazz at Sunset Affair on the Potomac” at Piney Point Lighthouse, featuring music by Higher Standards, local wine tastings and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $85.

On Friday, July 11, the schedule includes a plein air art event at St. Clement’s Island Museum beginning at 5:30 a.m., followed by a free concert on the museum lawn at 6 p.m. with the U.S. Navy Band, The Commodores. The evening will also feature student performances by the St. Mary’s Ryken Jazz Band and a selection of food trucks and vendors.

Saturday, July 12, marks the festival’s main event at St. Clement’s Island Museum, running from noon to 7 p.m. Artists scheduled to perform include Casual Groove, Rebecca Jade, Andréa Lisa and Chelsey Green. General admission is $75, while VIP tickets are available for $95. Attendees can also enjoy local cuisine, vendor booths, complimentary museum admission, and free water taxi rides to the island.

The festival wraps up Sunday, July 13, with a jazz brunch at Riverview Restaurant at Wicomico Shores Golf Course from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ($50 per person or $90 per couple), and three limited-capacity jazz cruises on the Potomac River featuring Sax Appeal.
