CHAPTICO, Md. — Emergency crews responded Sunday evening to a reported motor vehicle crash with injuries in the area of Maddox Road and Chaptico Road in St. Mary’s County.
According to dispatch information, units were called to the scene around 8:30 p.m., March 22, for a two-vehicle collision. Upon arrival, crews located both vehicles in the roadway involved in a head-on crash.
First responders evaluated at least one individual suffering from a head injury. The patient was transported by ambulance to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for further treatment.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
