LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Helen’s Café & Catering officially reopened Wednesday, July 2, bringing back its signature homestyle cooking — this time in a fully renovated space at the former Kevin’s Corner Kafé building on Point Lookout Road.
After closing nearly a year ago, the beloved Southern Maryland eatery returns with expanded hours and a modernized farmhouse interior. The new café will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Owners shared that the Leonardtown location has undergone a floor-to-ceiling transformation, including new flooring, windows, roofing, paint and minor exterior upgrades — while preserving the country charm that longtime customers remember.

Fans of the former Charlotte Hall location can look forward to:
- The return of Helen’s “Top 20” menu favorites
- A new private dining room for groups or meetings
- The “Beaver Bills” loyalty program for frequent guests
- Friday night “Sound Bites” events featuring local musicians and prix fixe dinners (starting later this summer)
The restaurant will continue to offer catering services through its Suite Spaces location in Hollywood, which remains open for private events.
