HOLLYWOOD, Md. – Kenjewel Faye McCullough, 44, has been charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty. The charges stem from an incident on June 15, 2024, at McCullough’s residence on Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood.
According to court documents, Deputy Melton reported that on June 15, 2024, Animal Control responded to a call from McCullough regarding an injured dog named Alfredo. Upon arrival, Officer Joy Littler from the St. Mary’s County Animal Shelter reportedly observed that Alfredo had severe injuries, including broken bones and signs of neglect. According to the documents, Alfredo’s condition was so dire that he required immediate veterinary intervention and was placed into foster care for recovery.
The investigation revealed that Alfredo was found in a plastic kiddie pool in McCullough’s backyard, with signs of severe neglect. Another dog, initially believed to be deceased, was later found alive but also reportedly suffering from severe neglect. McCullough claimed she had not been home for days and did not notice the dogs’ condition. Additionally, two puppies were allegedly found locked in crates without proper care, covered in feces.
McCullough faces charges including aggravated animal cruelty, animal cruelty for failing to provide necessary veterinary care, and multiple counts of failing to provide proper food, drink, and shelter for the animals under her care. The charges are based on evidence gathered by Deputy Melton and observations from the animal control officers.
McCullough is set to appear for a preliminary inquiry on July 26, 2024, at the District Court of Maryland for St. Mary’s County.

Throw the book at her! Domesticated animals are human dependent. She’s less than human!
She needs to experience the full effect of the law.
This woman is clearly unstable and dangerous. Oddly, she was on the Maury show June 16, 2017 (on youtube now) and is clearly dramatic and nuts. I hope her children are removed from this volatile household and get the care they need. Poor dog.
She was on there twice
How you treat an animal, one that is meant to provide love and companionship to us, shows how you are as a person. This person according to the police report is not worthy of being among society. Her sins against that animal tips the scales of justice so far that anything less than the full weight of law is a slap in the faces of law abiding people everywhere. Let her experience cell block justice for a very long time.
What a piece of work she is. Poor guys, they should give her the same treatment! I can’t imagine how someone can do that. Pretty sad story. Wish the guys a good recovery and hope they find an owner who loves them.
I’ve heard this person has bred one if her dogs 3 times in the last 2 years and sold the puppies. She should not be allowed to own an animal ever again. I do hope the judge throws the book at her.
