
LUSBY, Md. — Get ready for a bug-tastic time as Insectival returns to Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center this Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This annual family-friendly festival is crawling with fun — rain or shine — and perfect for curious minds of all ages.
What’s in store?
A full lineup of hands-on fun — from live insect encounters and butterfly tents to creative crafts, science demos, garden games and a splash zone to keep cool.
Explore the Live Insect Zoo and Insect Museum, get up close with pollinators in the Butterfly Tent, and enter the Buggy Costume Contest for a chance to win prizes. Enjoy hands-on crafts, carnival games and interactive science stations from wildlife experts, naturalists and local organizations.

New this year: Experience nocturnal insects in an immersive glow-in-the-dark exhibit, or explore how native plants and bugs work together in Hosts with the MOST.
Whether you’re brave enough to hold a giant insect in the Live Insect Zoo, wander through the magical Butterfly Tent or test your bug knowledge with Bug BINGO, there’s something to discover around every corner. From live bugs to bug-themed games, get ready for a full day of hands-on discovery, outdoor play and creative fun for all ages.

- $13 at the gate (if available)
