WALDORF, Md. – Today, at approximately 9:10 a.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the serious single motor vehicle accident in the area of 4450 block of Leonardtown Road.
Crews arrived on the scene and found the single vehicle overturned with an 82-year-old woman trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters extracted the subject and turned her over to EMS care.
Medical units requested a MEDEVAC due to the patients injuries. Firefighters established the landing zone north of the scene.
Maryland State Police Trooper 2 arrived at 9:43 a.m. and transported the patient to a local Trauma Center.
