WALDORF, Md. — Firefighters stopped an overnight shed fire from spreading to a nearby home in Waldorf.
The fire was first reported around 11:50 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, in the 5000 block of Bryantown Road. A 911 caller reported the shed on fire, with an update minutes later that the flames were “coming closer to the house.”
Multiple units were dispatched, including tankers and support apparatus, with water supply locations at nearby ponds and a cistern. Crews reported the shed was “fully involved” on arrival but not threatening the house.
A second caller from a nearby address told dispatchers he could hear “things blowing up” as the fire burned.
Firefighters reported the blaze extinguished at 12:07 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 16.
The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal was requested to investigate the cause.
