Waldorf, Md. โ A large vehicle crash on Leonardtown Road in Waldorf resulted in a medical emergency late Saturday morning, prompting a multi-agency emergency response. At approximately 11:15 a.m. on March 8, 2025, emergency personnel were dispatched to the 4100 block of Leonardtown Road after receiving reports of a dump truck smoking with a coolant leak and the driver in and out of consciousness.
Responding units, including fire and EMS teams, quickly arrived at the scene and assessed the situation. Reports indicate the driver was experiencing a medical emergency, possibly a seizure, and required immediate medical attention. Firefighters and EMS personnel worked to stabilize the driver while securing the scene.
The patient, identified as a 36-year-old male, was transported by ambulance to Charles Regional Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment. Authorities have not yet released additional information regarding his condition.
