CHARLES COUNTY, Md. – The Maryland State Highway Administration will begin roadway repairs this afternoon on the MD 231 bridge over the Patuxent River (“Benedict Bridge”) in southern Maryland.

Starting at 1 p.m. today, flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone. Drivers should expect delays and plan extra travel time.

Drivers are asked slow down, be patient, and stay alert. Customers who have questions may contact the SHA District 5 Office at 410-841-1000.
