WALDORF, Md. — The Charles County Children’s Aid Society has announced the return of its popular community yard sale series for 2026, giving residents multiple opportunities to shop, donate and volunteer while supporting local families in need.
The nonprofit organization will host four sales throughout the year on Saturday, March 28; Saturday, June 6; Saturday, Sept. 12; and Saturday, Oct. 24. Each event will run from 7 a.m. to noon at 3000 Huntington Circle in Waldorf.
Organizers say the sales serve as an important fundraiser that helps the organization continue its mission of assisting Charles County residents facing hardship. Proceeds from the events support programs that provide essential items and resources to families throughout the community.
In addition to shoppers, the organization is seeking community support through volunteers, donations of gently used items and individuals interested in renting vendor spaces to sell their own goods.
The events typically feature a wide variety of household items, books, décor, small furniture and other secondhand treasures, offering affordable shopping options while helping a local cause.
Community members interested in helping can volunteer during sale days, donate items ahead of scheduled events or reserve a space to participate as a seller. Organizers ask those planning to donate items to call ahead before dropping them off due to limited storage space.
