LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – A routine medical call on Sunday, December 3, 2023, took an unexpected turn when a Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad Ambulance stumbled upon a serious motor vehicle collision. The incident occurred at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Rue Purchase Road in Lexington Park at approximately 12:00 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, additional emergency personnel discovered a single vehicle off the roadway, which had collided with a tree. The sole occupant of the vehicle was found lying in the roadway after being ejected from the vehicle.

Emergency medical personnel acted swiftly, initiating life-saving measures and successfully transporting the injured individual to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital. Throughout the transit, resuscitation efforts were continuously administered due to the patient’s life-threatening injuries.
Tragically, the driver, identified as 20-year-old Ray Biscoe of Lexington Park, MD, was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital.

Preliminary findings from the Maryland State Police investigation indicate that the BMW, operated by Biscoe, was traveling north on MD 235 when it overturned off the roadway for reasons yet to be determined.
During the crash investigation, all but one lane on northbound MD 235 were briefly closed.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Maryland State Police.

Speed and rain. Not a good combination.
He was cut off by a truck who then fled the scene.
This is a very tragic situation. I knew this young man and he was such a good person. He will be truly missed. Very sad day.
He will greatly be missed. Such a positive person and I truly enjoyed his company.
This is such a sad waste of life. I am sorry for the family loss. This shows how important seat belt use is. I would be surprised if the investigation proved Mr. Brisco was wearing his.
I hope he didn’t suffer for to long. This is very sad and unfortunate situation. I pray that this young man family and love one’s fine peace.
Seatbelt use has nothing to do with it. He was cut off by someone in the rain cause if this tragic accident and the person did not stop or call it in.
Wearing a seat belt would have kept him from being thrown from the vehicle
He was ejected from the vehicle, meaning no seatbelt
He was driving a drop too bmw with the top down
With no seatbelt on, what part of that do you not understand? Nothing was holding him to the driver seat of the vehicle hence why he was ejected from the vehicle
So bmw no longer installs seatbelts is what you’re saying correct?
seltbelt has nothing to do with it he always wore his seltbelt. it is the other driver that was carless of speeding cutting him off!!!
“Seatbelt use has nothing to do with it.” ???
The article says:
“The sole occupant of the vehicle was found lying in the roadway after being ejected from the vehicle.”
Yes, it was the ‘lack of’ seatbelt use which had a whole lot to do with it.
Driving a convertible with no seat belt, God bless him
Let’s see, because it’s Maryland here’s the causes of this crash
1 speed
2 unsafe lane changes, darting in and out of lanes, cutting people off
3 on the phone
4 obviously no seatbelt
5 tailgating
6 more speeding
Only speak facts! No matter who is at fault a father has lost his son! Put yourself in his parents shoes! This was a very good young man, and a devastating lost to his family and friends! GOD KNOWS THE TRUTH!
Literally go back and read the comment before you attempt any reply
you dont know what happend or how it did but at the end of the day the truck shouldnt have cut him off and left PERIOT..
Literally every single accident is caused by one or more of the six factors I stated, my comment stands
And yes I’ve buried my son because he chose to be a idiot behind the wheel
This accident occurred because a reckless driver cut him off and hit him cause him to lose control strike the crib, flip his car and hit a tree. He had the top down in his bmw roadster and it cause him to be ejected onto the roadway.
With no seatbelt on
Whats truly heartbreaking is, I was just looking at other headlines and this same man who was killed commented on another fatal accident headline, telling readers to slow down and pay attention so accidents aren’t fatal. Very eerie. RIP 🙏🏼
